I strive to offer a type of yoga that meets you exactly where you are. A practice that focuses on joint mobility and stability, it may look different than the asanas you're used to practicing in a vinyasa or hatha class. It may enhance your confidence in those traditional poses or it may simply make you feel more rooted in your body day to day.
I started my yoga practice in 2013 and it's evolved quite a bit over the years. I spent many years with a strict Iyengar practice, focusing on alignment and learning many details of each posture.
My personal practice transformed when I became more interested in biomechanics and focused on moving my body in a more sustainable way.
In 2023/24 I completed my teacher training with Heart & Bones Yoga, which offered an education of anatomy-informed movements, accessible and sustainable practice -- a truly innovative approach to yoga.
In each private session I hope to offer you a chance to drop in, be present with your body and learn from it. Each class is an opportunity for us to create a stronger mind body connection and practice patterning healthy movements. In my training we were often reminded that "in yoga, we are in the business of awareness" -- awareness is our number one goal and first step in any practice. Let's work together to see what awareness and intention can create or reveal in our practice!
